Add process

NOTE: All Process functionality has been migrated to the SLO of type Process. As of this writing this section is still valid, but it is recommended to use SLOs of type Process instead of the Process object. This section only exists as a reference on how to use/create processes.

Add process using SLO (recommended)

To add a process via an SLO set the Type parameter accordingly when creating or editing the SLO:

Use Edit Dependency to create a process model, just like creating a service model using ordinary SLO objects.

Add process using Process object (not recommended)

The following process objects can be modeled:

  • Process
  • Process step
  • Process task

To add a process using the Process object:

After entering the process name, select its type. This can be Process, Process step or Process task.

Processes can be modelled by choosing Edit Dependency on an existing process, process step or process task.

The following objects can be added below a process object:

  • Processes, process steps and process tasks
  • SLOs

The following objects can be linked below a process object:

  • Processes, process steps and process tasks
  • SLOs
  • Jobs

A process object adopts the worst state of any of its linked objects. There are no correlation rules on process objects.
