Permissions

Beside the links for the group, alarm, maintenance and the state structure between objects, there is another relationship, the permissions. The permissions can be set individually down to the job level. By default, permissions are inherited from parent objects but this can be overridden, and even a different parent can be chosen. As this is a very flexible approach, it is important to keep track of the changes. It is good practice to build permissions groups on root level for easier maintenance. Permissions are only used for non super users. Super users have all permissions by default. Non super users also have all permissions by default, so as a first step we have to remove them if desired.
