The init permissions function sets or resets permissions of the current object to the groups selected with the two Init Permission from dropdown lists.
If for instance permission groups are set up, permissions of objects linked to them must be reset. In the following example, the device Appserver 1 is changed from its device tree group Datacenter 1 to the permission group Operator permissions. First, the Own permission and Permission for referenced objects are set to the permission group:
After that, using the Init button, the permissions are reset to the new parent object:
