Template types

Job templates

Create job templates, where all necessary job parameters as well as the job's alarm limits and linked alarm recipients can be defined.

Device templates

Device templates can be created, where all required jobs can be linked to. For example, when a company has many web servers that should all be monitored in the same way, create a web server device template and add the jobs that should be used on all of the web servers. Then create an instance of the device template for each of the web servers.

Group templates

Group templates can be created, where sub-groups, SLOs, devices and jobs can be linked to. When creating instances from such a group template, all linked objects are also instanced within this step. This allows various combinations and aggregations of template types to build complex object structures.

SLO templates

SLO templates allow simplifying the creation of service dependency trees.
