Edit mode

Although the dashboard user interface has been designed to be very user friendly, editing dashboards requires fundamental knowledge of the SKOOR data structure and its basic concepts. The following guide is intended to be used by advanced users.

To edit dashboards and their content, the edit mode has to be enabled.

To edit dashboards, the logged in user needs write permissions on the respective dashboard. To add new dashboards, the user needs write permissions on the "Dashboards" group.

Activate Edit Mode

After logging in, the dashboard interface is in viewing mode. The edit mode can be enabled by clicking the Edit button above the dashboard navigation.

With edit mode activated the dashboard provides various additional functionality. These are group- and dashboard edit menus in the navigation, tile- and widget edit menus in the content are and the widget drawer on the bottom right.

All actions specific to the respective dashboard, group, tile or widget can be accessed using the edit menu on the top right (the cog icon). The icon might only be visible when hovering on the subject.

The widget drawer on the bottom right allows to drag and drop new widgets into the current dashboard. Just grab one and drag it to the position on the dashboard where you want it to be placed. A magenta rectangle will indicate the position of the new widget.

Exit Edit Mode

Exit the edit mode by clicking the Stop Editing button above the navigation.
