Restrict permissions

The following figure shows a recommended root setup. To open the root view permission settings, click Edit Parameters in the functions menu of the root object:

On the following screen, click the Permission button:


Due to the unrestricted Own permission settings of the following example, all users are allowed to write to all resources in the /root view. Access to the next level in the object tree, the groups below /root, is restricted by the Permission for referenced objects, which are set to any deny for read, write and execute:


On the second level, in the following example the group named SKOOR, defined users or groups are granted full access. In the Own permission section, permissions for the object itself are set while permissions for underlying objects in the tree are set in Permission for referenced objects:

The Next button leads to the Edit parameters window of the object. By clicking OK, the configuration is saved and closed.
